Vibes (Fully Sold Out)
Works by Síofra Kilroy

A new collection of works drawing inspiration from the hotter regions of the world such as Mexico, Brazil, and Egypt. Síofra believes inspiration is best drawn from personal experience and in this eclectic collection she captures the cultural spice and vibrancy of these places where she has travelled. Her use of watercolour achieves a depth and richness of colour similar to oil, while maintaining the fluidity and light of watercolour, making these exotic scenes and people come to life.

An Scéil I (Fully Sold Out)
Works by Síofra Kilroy

A strongly irish themed collection of works capturing the mythical essence of old Ireland. 'An Sceil', irish for 'the story' suggests the idea that every painting carries a history behind it and so the collection is like a snapshot storybook of moments, places and people, that carry a distinct Irish flavour throughout. The collection features Ben Bulben mountain in county Sligo which features in Irish legend, 'Lir on the Lough' is a triptich piece of swans on the lough in Togher in Cork city while drawing inspiration from the legend of the children of Lir. Painted all in black and white, except for the swans beaks painted in orange to draw attention to the idea in the legend where the children are changed into swans by a curse placed on them and are unable to speak to free themselves of the spell. Also in this collection are meticulously detailed portraits of Síofra's mother playing the harp, and scenes from Dingle and her local area of Kinsale.

An Scéil II (Fully Sold Out)
Works by Síofra Kilroy

'An Sceil II' is a vibrant new collection of works with a strongly irish theme following the success of her first Irish Collection 'An Sceil I'. Featured in this nostalgic collection are landscapes from Cape Clear and Rathlin Island, drenched in rich greenery and rusty tones, ivy strewn stone archways and mossy piers, portraits set in time past, and a central theme of the Irish harp and it's tradition. Síofra's father Peter Kilroy, a traditional Irish harp maker, is the inspiration behind these works with paintings of his workshop and Síofra's mother playing the harp. Having grown up in this environment, this became the influence for her current collection.

'Shorelines' (Fully Sold Out)
Works by Síofra Kilroy

A collection of works from around the world linked by the theme of shores. Paintings of Irelands lush green coastal pockets sit alongside the sun bleached rocky shores of Australia. One partuicular piece highlighting a new branching out in Síofra's style is 'Boat Raft'. This painting is a personal favourite of the artist's because it is a place she visited in February 2005 and was compelled to try and capture it's dizzying perspective and panorama. The piece is of many little wooden boats pulled up on a make-shift raft of wooden laths lain helter skelter across each other, a maze of criss-crossing shapes with the curved softer shapes of the boats on top with a backdrop of layered sands and large rocks weaving underneath the structure. In painting the picture in what is essentially varying shades of the one colour, she wanted to recreate this pleasant confusion of shapes and objects without the distraction of colour.
